NEW ALL-TIME HIGH – Oil Production Tops 1.4 million bpd in December 2018
Bismarck, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources released the latest production numbers today. Oil production in December reached a new all-time high of 43,442,924 barrels, averaging 1,401,385 barrels/day. This is up from the previous all-time high of 1,392,369 barrels/day in October 2018.
“Oil production has surpassed 1.4 million barrels of oil per day, this is a big accomplishment. We have reached this milestone by utilizing new technology allowing us to recover more oil from each new Bakken well. We are proud of what we’ve done in North Dakota to help the United States become the largest crude oil producer in the world and continue the push to become a net exporter of crude oil and petroleum products.” said Ron Ness, President of the North Dakota Petroleum Council.
