Bakken Output Increases 329% Compared to 2006

North Dakota's 2007 oil production recorded a healthy leap compared to a year earlier. For the year 2007, the state reported that total oil produced was 45,057,874 bo, up an impressive 5,114,464 bo as opposed to the 39,943,410 produced in 2006.

Petroleum Council's comments on 43-02-03-01

We believe the legislative intent was to require sufficient distance from permanently occupied dwellings and not cabins and trailers. Living in a residence six months out of the year is not a permanently occupied residence. Lake cabins are often frequented for six months out of the year.

Comments on Proposed Categorical Exclusion Directive

We have made considerable progress in expediting the process for approving re-entries of existing or abandoned well bores which have already been subjected to environmental review. However, little progress has been made in expediting the process for approval of a grassroots well.

Gas Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2007

In keeping with the provisions of North Dakota Century Code 57-51-02.2, the Tax Commissioner has determined that the gas tax rate for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2007, is $.1640 per mcf.

2006 Annual Tax Trigger Adjustment

In keeping with the provisions of North Dakota Century Code (N.D.C.C.) 57-51.1-01, the Tax Commissioner has determined that the oil trigger price for the calendar year January 1, 2006, through December 31, 2006, is $39.36.
